Helical gear reducer can be realized by straight tooth, helical tooth and spiral spiral bevel gear. The total contact ratio of spiral bevel gears is extremely high, but due to its special structure, the manufacturing cost is higher than that of straight or helical bevel gears. The advantage of the spiral bevel gear is that it can not only improve the running smoothness, but also increase the transmittable torque. Using this type of gear can also increase the speed.
Bevel gears generate high axial and radial loads during operation. Because the shafts intersect, they can only receive these loads on one side. If it is used as a fast-rotating drive stage in a multi-stage reducer, special attention must be paid to the service life of the bearing. In addition, unlike the turbine reducer, the helical gear reducer has no self-locking function.
